As far as the sound level, it is normal for the unit to make sounds while operating. Because this is a high-efficiency refrigerator, the compressor may run longer and faster than older models. You might hear a high-pitched humming or pulsing sound during normal operation. Refrigerant flowing through the system can sound like gurgling water.
