Stopped working after 9 days.

We have had this gts18hsnrss model for 9 days. It made a very loud sound at the crack of dawn. The back of the freezer was had a layer of frost. Then it made a hissing sound and water pooled around the fridge. My butter was at room temperature at this point, indicating that the fridge has stopped working several hours prior. I have had to go buy a cooler and lots of ice packs to salvage my groceries, all while troubleshooting and callinh GE.
Now, I may have to let a stranger into my home during Covid-19 to repair a brand new refridgerator. This is so incovenient, a hassle and not safe.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please with new Refridgerator

We bought this refrigerator as a gift for my wife's mother. Her old one finally wore out. I have always had good luck with GE appliances in the past, so we figured we couldn't go wrong with another. She is very happy with her gift, and we expect it to perform well for years to come.

Got for a extra refrigerator to hold extra water, juice and and food so i don't have to make more trips to the store every week. nice size, only had for a week so far so good.

Great value that is increasingly difficult to find in this price range. Functional and affordable is the perfect combination offered with this product. Fit and finish is nice as well and the interior space offers plenty of flexibility. Happy with purchase and performance right out of the box. Recommended!!

we bought this as a temporary fill in after our beautiful GE bottom freezer unit went warm and the parts were no longer available 15 years. Replacement on the way but due to Covid the delay time is substantial This one is going to the garage for backup
