Happy and thankful for my American fridge

I just got my new GE fridge. After having a side by side tis is just what I wanted. They interior is wonderful and I like the LED lighting. The outside is appealing. It runs quietly and got cold quickly. I am happy to buy and suppoJrt an American made appliance.

Durable, Cold, Everything You're Hunting For!

Using this as a garage fridge, and it is absolutely stellar. Shelving is as sturdy as you could image from a GE refrigerator. It holds all of our milk, beer, orange juice, bottled water. The freezer acts as overflow for meat, and snacks. I can't say enough great things about this fridge's durability in a Florida garage.

I’m very happy with this purchase! It fit the space perfectly, and is quiet. It has a lot of refrigerator space. I wish the freezer was a little larger (and the refrigerator section a little smaller), but even as-is, I’d buy it again.

So far so good! I have only had it a few days. It is reasonably quiet, and keeps my food cool, but I find I need to keep it set at 4 rather than 3 which is the middle and recommended setting. This keeps the fridge at 36-37 deg, and the freezer at around 5 deg. 3 keeps the fridge at 39*. My old basic 1994 Kenmore had a nice feature that allowed me to balance the temperature between freezer and fridge. I wish I could set this model to 3 and direct more air from the freezer to the fridge. I'm afraid having to set it to 4 will increase electrical usage. The smooth white surface on the door is actually a "wrap" similar to what is used on cars sometimes on the aftermarket. It would be nice if this wrap was textured like the sides. The smooth white surface shows to much imperfection (some streaks) when the light hits it. All in all though it seems like a solid fridge. I have seen other fridges in this price range that have more flimsy panels. I hope to get 30 years out of this one like I did my old Kenmore. Well, I probably won't be around in 30 years, but if it lasts as long as me, I'll be happy. I give this a 5 star rating given the above complaints are really quite minor.
