Sadly, this wasn't the best product. I had a beautiful Frigidaire that had true stainless steel doors, beautiful high gloss black paint and the perfect size for our needs. It was over 20 yrs old and was starting to malfunction. This was the only unit that would fit the space, but we had to lose 2" in width. It didn't come with all the thimble and door plugs needed to cover all the exposed holes. Also, it didn't come with an owner's manual. By the time we did the first cleaning, it was past the 7 days of delivery of the unit. I found out that the fridge door stainless was not finished off properly at the manufacturing plant, and couldn't be cleaned. I contacted GE and found out that we only had a 7 day warranty on the cosmetic of the unit. Very unfortunate and, in my opinion, unacceptable. The only good thing I can say is that it works.

I replaced my 2004 GE refridgerator that was 20 years old this month with this new refridgerator. Never had an issue with the one I noted above and have also had other GE appliances and have been extremely pleased.

Poor seal on freezer door

There is a flaw in this appliance…when closing the refrigerator door, the pressure pops the freezer door to open. If you have anything of any weight in freezer door, it will stay open.
Don’t know if this particular unit has a flaw or all of them…a miss design!!
