We are happy with all aspects of this refrigerator except for the knocking type noise you hear when it is running. I can say without a doubt that this is the noisiest refrigerator we have ever owned. If noise isn't an issue, you will be happy. I had called GE service and they stated that the knocking noise you hear fro 20'-30' away is normal during the cooling cycle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The space is very well utilized by the arrangement of the shelves and doors; although it is smaller, it has more functional space than the fridge it replaced. Not totally quiet.
I would recommend this to a friend!
