Not a great refrigerator.

Shelves are very difficult to move, compressor is noisy , bad design for the bottom door shelf cant see what is on it. Not bad if you don't mind hitting your head on the freezer door when getting something from the refrigerator as it overhangs quite a bit. Bigger in height than the GE that it replaced and less cubic space which caused the need for cabinet alterations.
Aside from that, nice finish.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Surprisingly large

We thought we would have trouble with the size of the refrigerator because we had downsized from a double door to this 17 cubic feet one
But it holds everything we need, both in the refrigerator and the freezer. It works well and we are very pleased with it.

Our new refrigerator works great. It's very efficient. It uses a very small amount of energy. It has saved me money when I replaced my old unit.

Pretty much purchased this unit because it was relatively inexpensive, and the vendor, who also services appliances, assured me that it is reliable. The internal features are poorly designed. There are too few shelves and the drawers are awkward. For my installation I had the hinges reversed, but this left the 'snack drawer on wrong side.
One could live with these peccadillos, but what concerns me is that the unit squeals and hums--probably the defroster, but not confidence-inspiring.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Fridge

17.5 Cu Ft fridge is perfect size for us. It's been two months since we purchased this and it's working great. Time tells all but GE has always produced good long-term appliances for us over the years. Thanks GE!

Great fridge, great use of space inside. First fridge didn't work and they were so urgent and helpful, even compensating for food. I was very impressed by their desire to satisfy the customer and trust they will provide good fridges as best as they can.
