Great size refrigerator, more than adequate compressor to keep food cold. If you are looking for a frig with not a lot of bells and whistles but works great this ones for you!

Nice Unit with a Small Freezer

I replaced an older GE 18 cu.ft. frig which had finally worn out after almost 30 years!
This 17.5 cu. ft. is nice. Runs well, and is quieter than my floor fan. Energy efficient - it seems to use about 1/3 less power than the old frig.
Only 2 "problems" - both design-oriented. The cheap heat shield between the indoor light bulb and the control box frequently gets knocked out of place by a tall bottle or carton.
The freezer is oddly small as well, and there are protrusions and vent channels that one needs to keep clear to have proper air flow. Bottom line - I can only fit about 75% of what I could in the 18' model - I've had to change my shopping habits.
