This is slightly smaller than our previous refrgerator, but git everthing just fine. I like the space on the door. It is deeper than our previous one and able to hold more and access things easily.
I bought this refrigerator, including adding the ice-maker, to replace a much older model for a rental property. At 17.5 cu. ft. it fits perfectly in the space provided and it holds a lot, including in the doors. I also love that it has a deli drawer that you can easily slide from one position to another to more easily accommodate items. It also has two crisper drawers at the bottom. I got it in black with the textured finish which hide fingerprints. It also matches the other GE appliances purchased over the past few years for the same unit. The refrigerator was just installed last week, but so far no problems. It seems to be working as it should. I will update the review if any problems or issues arise.
I received this Refrigerator as a gift from my family for my Birthday. We have never had a 'second fridge', which I always wanted (and needed 3 years ago when our only fridge broke 3 times in 4 weeks!). This was perfect for the basement - it is quiet, looks very sharp, love the finish on it. The inside is spacious - plenty of room for platter trays, large plastic bottles etc. So far so good, quiet - sleek - functional. I would recommend it!
I bought this model to replace a very similar one that was 27 years old. This model is a bit higher and has a bit more cubic feet that the 27-year-old one--a plus. The only problem, and this is rather major, is that even when the doors are open to their fullest in the space available, the shelves in the fridge and freezer, as well as the veggie bin, cannot be pulled out completely because the shelves on the door, which are deeper than in the older model, block them. I cannot change the positions of the shelves and I don't know how I'll be able to clean. A disappointment--who'd a thunk it? And how could this have been discovered prior to purchase? Any solutions would be most welcome ;>)
We were looking for a smaller scale fridge. Nothing fancy. We are happy with this unit with the only issue being that it has a couple slightly louder, and slightly irritating noises. Still a good unit for our granny unit.
