Runs all the time -

Had the frig installed on Tuesday and the appliance runs continuously. Called GE and they say that the design is for the frig to run 80-90% of the time because it’s more energy efficient. If we would have known this we would have bought a frig that we didn’t have to hear running all day. Don’t buy this product unless you want to hear it running all the time. This is a noisy frig and am sorry we bought it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Received the fridge 3 days ago. Internal packaging of shelves was very solid, kept everything in place, and easy to setup. Reversing the doors was very easy. Both top and bottom seals are well aligned and very tight. It seems to run a lot so I'm continually reducing the 'coldness' to conserve energy. When it runs, you hear the hum but its not as loud as new GE fridge we have in the kitchen. Very happy thus far.

This is my first new refrigerator in almost 15 years and I love the way it looks. Much more convenient to get what's inside than my old one!
