I have only had my GE fridge for a brief period ⚫ I suspect it will give me many years of dependable service just like the 24 year old GE the delivery man hauled off to that great refridgerator place in the sky ❗
This unit was purchased for a break room on a college campus. It is the perfect size I was looking for and with a wide open compartments and shelves inside made this a perfect choice.
I bought this back in July and have used it for a few months. It is a great basic fridge with plenty of storage. I have yet to figure out how to adjust the shelves, but I know they are adjustable. I opted to not have an ice maker put in but I do know it is compatible with an ice maker add on. One day I might do that. I am fine with just making my own ice for now. Whenever you buy it, make sure whatever way the door swings, it opens a little past 90 degrees otherwise the drawer closest to the door may not open all the way. Minor detail that isn't mentioned in the specs when buying. I love the fact that I have the side storage that can fit a full gallon of milk and some standing bottles of wine. The inside is also easy to clean and wipe down if anything spills thanks to the shelving (versus the typical wire racks). I read on some other sites that people were complaining about noise...I haven't had the luxury of experiencing a ton of fridges and this one doesn't annoy me with sound. I have an extremely sensitive ear with noise and I have never noticed it enough to complain or go as far as return it. Overall this product is really great for the price. GE is a trusted brand in home appliances which makes decisions easier for me when buying. My old dishwasher is about 15 years old and still running like new, it is GE as well. Hoping to get many many years out of this fridge.
