Our new GE refrigerator works like a charm and fits perfectly in a tight space. The black color hides fingerprints and dust. It has the capacity to hold quite a bit of food and beverages in a smaller space. The big container door shelves work well for gallon and tall containers.
I left my settings at the factory recommendations and over the past several months with a thermometer in top and bottom, the temperatures run a constant 0 degrees F in the freezer and 40 degrees in the fridge part, with about 5 degrees shift depending on how long and how much you access them. I also ran an energy analyzer for two months and it came in within $2 of the rated $48 dollars a year cost to run (this figure depends on your electricity cost.) Some things to keep in mind, in order to keep energy costs lower, and more efficient, compressors and motors are smaller and will run longer than larger and more expensive units and you may notice the motor noise more. The only other thing I found is you must not flip either door shut, as this may cause the door not to seal and bounce open as the magnetic door strips cannot grab. All in all it is an excellent unit for the price, although I miss the egg tray in my old fridge, the veggies in the vegetable compartments last longer than the ones in my old fridge did. It does what a fridge is supposed to do, keep your food at the proper temperature.
I bought this a couple months ago and will say I had to get used to it. It was louder than my old one and ran longer, but I was advised that due to a smaller compressor and the requirement to be more efficient, it would be louder and run longer. I am now used to it. Keeps things nice and cold!
