I love this refrigerator. It has ample space for everything. I just wish the ice make had been installed. I am not very handy and am having issues finding someone to install the ice maker.
My last fridge was a GE and it lasted 23 years. Bought newunithome, loaded fridgeside with hot drinks, next morning was 30 degrees and ice tray was half full. I think this is going to be another fine GE product!
I have one major complaint: the butter compartment and it's door are awful! Every time I open it to get a stick of butter out, the stick falls out as the door catches it and drops. The compartment is also on the small side, my old fridge the compartment held a rectangle tub and 4 sticks easily. I can only have 4 sticks alone or tub and 1/2 sticks as full sticks are longer than the compartment is deep.
That is my only complaint. I was able to pick up a couple shelves to add to the freezer and fridge to accommodate our needs as we could not get through GE. It is so quiet when running too!
Our basement overflow refrigerator and freezer broke after many years of service. I called our favorite appliance guy and said I need a good basic refrigerator which is in stock. He sent this and we love it. The configuration of the inside design is very good for storage. We love the doors which are particularly deep and hold a lot. We are happy so far.
The magnet on the freezer door is not very strong. Need to make sure the freezer door is really closed. One night it wasn't securely closed and the next morning there was some frost inside. Otherwise, it is a good basic refrigerator. I probably should have gotten the next size up from the one I bought. This GE replaced a GE that I had since 8/1987 that stopped working.
