The lighting inside is good, but the drawer blocks the view of the lower shelf. We had a GE fridge and decided to get a replacement as the old one was a bit noisy. The new one is much louder and is annoying. The drawer has rough edges on the side.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Strange periodic irritating noise.
Of course it won't sound when the repair guy came. We recorded it but he couldn't tell from that.

All ok but much too noisy. Had many refrigerators in my lifetime(85 years) and this one I cannot get used to as the noises it makes are different and louder than I ever experienced

Refridgerator works great. Ice maker issue.

Purchased this unit in August- unit worked great- had water leak issue with installation of ice maker. GE resolved leak issue but now volume of ice made is not consitant.
I would recommend this to a friend!
