It's a basic fridge, so the expectation is that it keeps things cold. And it does that just fine. Our 20+ year old fridge ran non-stop. This one doesn't run very often, so the efficiency is there. Wife liked that everything inside was adjustable, and that there was a 'cheese drawer' in addition to the typical fruit and crisper drawers in the bottom. Bottom row in the door will hold a six pack with room to spare. (if that's important to you) The temperature is fully adjustable, and holds it just fine. There aren't any cold or warm spots. I would buy this again without question. We've owned this fridge about 4 months.
It has operated perfectly since we bought it. Lots of storage space inside, well designed. The only negative is it is noisy when the compressor runs. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars.
From the moment I brought this refrigerator home I have had issues with the shelves bowing from the weight of one container of milk. Ordered replacement shelves and the same thing happened. It currently is a second refrig that has very little in it and has not lived up to my expectations.
Not a good value. This unit requires the cooling to be set at 95-100% power to reach 40F. The freezer is down to about 10F, which indicates to me there is not enough cooling getting down into the main compartment. Temps measured by identical NSF-badged thermometers in the center of each space. GE is last on my list for any appliance in the future. My last refrigerator only needed about 40% power to hold at 40F.
Purchased over 1/2 year ago. Refrigerator consistently functions as it should, although some food freezes when kept at back of middle shelf. Well organized shelving and in-door storage.
