When closing the door the freezer seal pops open. Had service to look at it and was told they are all like that. More expensive models have feature to slow door to prevent this from happening. Entry savings appears to be less than anticipated.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your refrigerator. It is not unusual on a two-door refrigerator for one door to pop open when the other door is being closed. The refrigerator and freezer sections are connected by air channels to allow air to pass between them. Shutting a door shut forces air from one cavity into the other, often pushing the second door open. However, the door should close on its own after it pops open. If yours is not automatically shutting, please see our following link to review our remedies:
My New GE Refer works Great. THE ONLY BAD FEATURE IS THAT THERE IS "NO" LIGHT IN THE FREEZER !!! CAN'T SEE THE FOOD !!!

Hello Rusty 777,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your refrigerator. We regret your experience. We have forwarded your comments to our product design team.
My old fridge bit the dust and this one was a perfect replacement. Nice size for me. It is a bit loud but I don't hang out in the kitchen so it doesn't really bother me.
