Great Fridge!

I live in a small house and tight space, and my 14 cu.ft fridge died. I was able to upgrade to this 18 cu.ft because of the footprint was the same as my old one, just taller. The ice maker was purchased seperately, and it installed within 20 minutes.
We replaced our original GE refrigerator after 35 years. Obviously sold on GE we purchased our new one and are very happy with it. In comparing floor models we noticed that GE models are much more solid in the internal construction - shelves/racks. Excellent purchase and we are extremely pleased.
The refrigerator does the job. We have not owned it long enough to rate how it does!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too noisy. Fit for a garage, not a kitchen because of the noise it makes.

Hello Nanadadada - Thanks for posting your review. Modern refrigerators do sound different from older refrigerator models since they have more features and use newer technology. Please take a look at page 13 in the manual for normal sounds: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60780-2.PDF
Thank you, again, for your feedback. We appreciate your business.
We use this chiefly as an extra unit in the garage and it does the job. The plastics and design are all solid. No real bells and whistles to speak of, but bell's and whistles do not keep your food and beverages at a safe temperature.
