Bought this for our shore house in costal NC after the icemaker in our 18 yr old fridge died. So far so good. The icemaker was included whick was a feture we wanted.

We appreciate you sharing your review with us. We're glad to know that you do like your refrigerator, but apologize for the slow ice maker. Under nominal conditions the icemaker should harvest every 60 - 90 minutes. Repeated door openings during that cycle will extend the time between harvests, as every time you open the door you are allowing warm air in and cool air out.
If your icemaker is not making ice or is making ice slowly:
Make sure the icemaker switch is in ON position. Make sure water supply is connected and turned on. Check ice storage bin for clumping or blockage of ice. Check filter if refrigerator has a water filtration system. Verify that all air has been bled from the system. Verify the water pressure meets the minimum requirements (20 to 60 Psi). It takes about 48 hours for a new refrigerator's temperature to stabilize; during this time ice production will be slower.

Looks good, a bit loud with the ice maker

Fridge is a huge upgrade from the 15 year old fridge we had. The ice maker, when the Ice is coming in is a bit loud, but over time we got used to it.

I find the shelving and said the refrigerator very awkward hard to store things and find things and also the fingerprints on the outside I never understood what people were talking about but it always looks marked up. I will not repeat this purchase.

Good basic top freezer refrigerator

I purchased this when supply chain problems led to lengthy backorders of my top rated choice. This a good basic 17.5 cubic foot refrigerator with ample adjustable glass shelves, LED lighting in the refrigerator portion, and an ice maker.
GE appliances are not highly rated for long term reliability and the thermostat and evenness of temperature throughout are average. This is a noisy refrigerator which is of concern if like me you live in a condo with an open floor plan but it’s tolerable to me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Regarding the noise level, newer models can be louder than older models because of added features and technology, though we do still try to provide as quiet an experience as possible.
