Hi - Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding your new GE refrigerator. We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your purchase. In order to maintain proper even temperatures, the compressor will run much of the time. Newer refrigerators have compressors that are designed to run 80% to 90% of the time and are still more energy efficient because the greatest amount of energy is used when the compressor cycles on as opposed to when the compressor is actually running. You have mentioned the control stays on 5. Try turning the control down to a lower setting and if the temperatures are cold enough to suit your personal preferences that is fine to do so. If this information does not address the issues you are having we would recommend having service check the refrigerator. Freezer WAY TOO SMALL

Freezer area is way too small and is further impacted by the ice tray. The fact that the vents in the back cannot be blocked whatsoever, or the freezer will malfunction, makes this a poor purchase for more than ONE RESIDENT'S usage. Typically found in apartments.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love it Lots of room for all I need

I love the way the space is arranged Lots of room for the many bottles of wine and milk. Then the door shelves hold all my condiments well. The small bottom shelf is perfect for my seldom used refrigerated items like bulgar and rice. Butter does get a little too hard though. Cheese bin works well as do the veg and fruit drawers although they could be a bit larger

Perfect size and colors

This is the perfect refrigerator for my new kitchen as it ties together my other appliances with the black/silver combination. I like the sliding deli drawer and door shelves large enough to hold a gallon of milk. It keeps everything just the right temperature.
