The GOOD out weighs the BAD.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] LOVE the space inside the this unit due to no ice maker inside the frig. The lighting is really great, even the crisper compartments light up. Temps in the frig. & freezer are perfect. It is normal for the unit to make knocking sounds do to expension & contraction from temp changes. This will go away over time. The one bad thing is the ice makers in all refrigerator brands. They simply are not designed to last. So I just didn't turn it on. I made some ice from ice trays bought at Walmart & if i make a party I'll simply buy ice. All in all we love this refrigerators performance, its appearance, inside roominess, how the doors close & of course it was fairly priced.

Nice fridge but not 100% satisfied.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] GOOD: gets cold fast, wide area w/ a lot of configuration options in main area and doors and looks great on the outside. BAD: Took 2 months to get plastic smell AND taste out of foods. Since we got it 9 months ago, you can hear what sounds like a struggling and rattling motor. Freezer opens and lets all that cold air out the bottom...a waste of energy. UGLY: freezer door doesn't shut flush (its closed, but left corner sticks out some). Plastic corner moldings on the bottom move like a 6yr olds loose tooth.

Variable-speed compressors operate at a higher speed and pressure when first starting; which is normal. The sound should lessen as it continues to run and balances pressures.
