I always buy Otterbox cases for my phone/ipad. Once I had the top piece above the charger port break off but that's the only problem I've ever had. I'm always dropping my phone & I know my case will protect it and it always does

It’s not rubbery enough so it slides away when propped up in a vertical stance, it didn’t come with a screen cover to protect from scratches and grip ridges don’t really help in my rough hands. So I really made a poor choice in selecting the cover, but in my defense there wasn’t a very good description of the product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great protection, wireless charging temperamental.

Great case, offers amazing screen protection when paired with an Otterbox edge to edge screen protector. The raised lip on the front of the case is great, as it doesn’t allow the screen protector to drag on table tops when you put the phone down. The case is also designed so that the three camera lenses on the back will not contact any hard flat surfaces you lay the phone on. The downside with all this protection, is at the sacrifice of reliable wireless charging. I’ve tried more than four different Qi chargers, from lay flat to stands, all of which if the phone is not properly situated exactly so will cause the phone to start charging and then fail mid charge. Of the nightly charges over the course of three weeks about 40 percent fail. No case, no problem, phone charges 100 percent of the time as expected. OtterBox claims this case is wireless charging friendly, which simply isn’t the absolute truth. I’ve decided to keep the case for more rugged outings but not as an everyday case.
