I've been using HR Block tax software since 2002 with no regrets. Easy to use and covers everything for my needs as a sole proprietor. Have heard from the IRS one time (last year) and it was their mistake.

Answer the questions in 'interview, and every thing is easy. We had a complicated tax year in 2020 and had a professional service also do our taxes. The results were within a few dollars of each other. I trust the program.

I moved during this tax year and therefore I had to fill out two state in addition to the federal. The program got my North Carolina taxes completely wrong

The premium version has laws that are a bit confusing and doesn't applying to my situation. Sometimes, the interview questions are too complicated and confusing. I would rather focused on the interview questions that pertain to the IRS documents I have avaliable and work backward from there, instead of having to go through a bunch of questions that may not apply to my situation. In situation where there are convulating and confusing interview questions, I would suggest H&R provides a quick tutorial how the question may apply to the individual.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
