Slow to get an update I needed to file my return. It became available 10 days before the filing deadline. A program error prevented me from filing my state return until I manually changed the incorrect number from the 2024 return (also Block software)
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

They sent me a half off coupon for some service shortcoming the previous year. When I entered the coupon code it was invalid. It a shame their lobbying group is happy to keep the tax code so convoluted. Other than that, it's fine.

This is the first time I used H&R Block software. I previously used TurboTax, but was forced to switch when they no longer supported Windows 10. Unfortunately, the H&R Block software over-calculated the penalty for underpayment of Estimated tax payments. It also mischaracterized a stock donation to my DAF as a 50% deduction instead of a 30% charitable deduction It was somewhat difficult to fix that problem on the forms Menu sensor was difficult to find where fix it (the software directed me to a non-existent form). Finally, there is a bug that kept over writing the name of my first income source whenever I made an edit to the second, third fourth income source, etc. (that was just a flat out bug in the software)

I find the software easy to use but was not able to get questions answered by AI or any of the options I could find. Even something basic like how does the software calculate a field? Was very frustrated.

Got the job done, but not easy if you are not already familiar with taxes. Awkward, not intuitive, user interface. Used TurboTax for years but they stopped supporting Windows 10. Turbo was much easier to use.
