Adequate software

The software worked fairly well with some minor problems. The support people had no clue how to address the issues.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Impossible to get help with the software

I got this since I had to last year. Last year it would not allow me to electronically file, but I thought this year there would be not HRBlock bugs in the software, so I tried it again. This year it let me file electronically but I could not correct alerts. I checked Help, FAQ, Chat, and called but they never helped. Chat did not reply. I could not get anyone of the call. HRBlock just dropped the call are the recorded voice asked me the same questions over and over. Never got to any help human.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Software is horrible!

I've been using H&R Block Software since 2015 and I have never had as many problems as I have had this year. Not only does the software crash every hour, but it doesn't let me efile without creating errors that doesn't exist.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've used this software for >10 years and find it easy enough to follow. I just gather all the paperwork, clip it together according to income, taxes, charity, mortgage interest, etc. and then go from page to page filling in the blanks. I also download pertinent data from my bank, very helpful. One thing that would help me so much is if there were a way to enter a Form 8606 to calculate and file taxed funds added to an IRA.

I have used H&R Block for a number of years and am very happy with it. It is easy to understand and very accurate. The Premium version has all of the capability I need for rental property. I switched from a competitor S/W because the competitor modified their S/W, taking away those features I need. I rely on H&R Block Premium as my go to tax software that will keep all of the capability I need.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
