for the basics, it works well. But there are far too many areas where it falls short on the interview and guidance for more complicated taxes. K1 forms are a pain. It starts in an interview and dumps you into a form without much guidance and the K1s themselves don't really have details. Leaves me wondering if I've really done things correctly which is never how you want to be feeling about taxes.

I have used HR Block for years and have been satisfied with performance. This year for the first time the explanation for one item on state return was incomplete and online chat was not helpful. I was able to find answer on the state form.
Pros: Easy to import documents

Been using H&R Block Tax software for over 30 years and my taxes are very complicated with rentals and three other income sources. This tax software walks you through everything and makes it very easy to do and easy to understand. Would highly recommend to anyone even with complicated taxes.
