I’ve used HR Block software for probably 20 years. I hate doing my taxes but it makes the process so much easier especially the second year when it saves all your info from the previous year so it saves you time.

I used H&R Premium 2023 software for my taxes. It was easy as usual and pulled in all of my information from last year. I wasn't able to import my W-9, but everything else came in seamlessly. It assessed my audit risk, maximized my deductions, and my refund. The questions were clear and the additional information was helpful.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've been generally happy with our product, but earlier this year I had to do a 2022 1040X (amended return) and your software didn't allow me to file it electronically - even though the IRS website clearly allowed for doing so. Very disappointing as I know your competitor (Turbo Tax) provided that capabillity. That is the reason for 4 stars versus 5 stars.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

As a fairly new retiree the software handled my Roth conversions and taxable social security. I would like to see easier instructions on Roth conversions.

I buy the program in advance and start working on taxes in late October. Regular income, Social Security, Farm Income, Horse racing income and also Ref income. Re=populating fields from previous year is great. Missing income or expense is easy to correct,
