I have used it for years. This time it fell short. It cost me 500 in tax fines for something that was in no way correct. I was charged a IRS penalty for not paying quarterly through the year for capital gains that did not occur until December 28th of the year.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Could not account for a 1099-misc royalty payment. Had to list it as a 1099-misc "other" payment. This problem has been around for years and still persists.

Each time an update came out my software would not reload I kept getting a message that a certain pathway was missing and had to keep reloading original program to work so no I will not be using your software anymore if I get this years done

Very good product. I especially like how easy it was to export files from another program.The only reason I didn’t rate it as excellent is because I have to get used to it. I had used another product for several years, but decided to try Block because I heard it was highly recommended.
