I started to use program thru myblock and it was awful. Bought online with key activation number and worked very close to what I expected. Neither carried forward information from previous years return. Had to wait weeks for software upgrade do not know if it was IRS or Block cause.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I purchase this every year since you were Evergreen Software (long time ago) and been a faithful user of this tax prep solution. There are some things I don't care for like more detailed explanations and no way to reach support via the program. I had to google your phone support line then 2x got on permanent hold. The automated interface is very limited and that tool becomes useless. On calling I FINALLY got a real person and my issue was quickly resolved.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast

Lacks basic features

I have used hr block for taxes for over 20 years. For 2025 they no longer supported 1099 import. This resulted in 4 hours of my time to manually load data. I WILL NOT it the product again and do not recommend it.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Two concerns - the calculations for determining whether there is a penalty for underpayment of estimated tax are just too bizarre and why do I have to pay to e-file for state when I already paid for the state software?
