We used H&R Block Premium 2025 Software for the last 3 years. In all 3 cases the federal and the state return (in our case California) were correct and we got refunds and in one case paid the state some back taxes.
I reported an error regarding rental properties: it should say Total annual rent" NOT "Total monthly rent. A big difference! I don't know if they will correct it for 2026.
The other improvement would be to let people know the progress of their returns. It only says the returns were
"accepted". I had to go to my checking account to check what was going on (deposit or charge).

I am using on Mac and it always crashed . Also for expat the calculation for tax and credit is not fully transparent and streamlined , specially when calculating the foreigner excluded income it needs manual inputs but it has been already decided to use it somewhere else , a bit confusing

Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
