I’ve been using the product for the last 20 years. My biggest complaint is the modality of the Forms and Help Center windows. They should NOT remain ‘on top’ if I switch to another application. While filling out forms directly, I sometimes have to switch to another application to retrieve values to place in the form. When I do so, the Forms window stays on top, obscuring the window of the application that I just switched to. This is not very user friendly.

Easier to navigate than I thought it would be. I switched from TurboTax after many years and this was much more intuitive. I have a pretty complicated return and this covered all of the topics necessary to do all of the forms.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

I LIKE THE SOFTWARE, IT WAS EASY TO USE. IF THE FONT SIZE COULD BE ADJUSTED IT BE EASIER FOR ME TO READ. LOOKING THROUGH TRIFOCALS THE WHOLE IS UNCOMFORTABLE.

This year’s version simply did not work. I’ve used the product for at least 20 years without problems, but this year it was terrible. It did not calculate many of the things it should have, it did not interface with the state, the telephone support was laughable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I’ve used H&R Block for several years. Always been happy with it but 2025 was a little different. Couldn’t file this year until the April update. Had issues when checked for errors and couldn’t clear them. Non critical so filed anyway and IRS rejected it on a different issue. Just minor when I answered a question wrong. My correct answer didn’t clear the wrong answer in the software. I manually fixed the answer and IRS took it on the second submission.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
