Every year I hate doing taxes. This year’s H&R Block Premium REALLY REALLY made me Hate doing taxes. The questions continue to get more confusing and vague. I had to use Chat GPT to help me understand what I was being asked and what my correct answer was.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I'm self-employed and have used H&R Block software for several years. The tax law changes are well covered. Entering applicable data & info is easy and thorough. I e-filed my Federal return which was accepted quickly. I printed my State return and submitted it to my local tax office. The tax software worked well, the hard part was organizing my input data. Overall, done quickly and done well.

Software is not sophisticated enough to handle situations that deviate from the norm. For example dividing different types of income between states, filing city income tax returns, and using treaty US benefits. TurboTax seems to be a somewhat more complete package.

Glad I could find a program that still supports Windows 10. However, it wasn't very easy for my to correctly enter all the expenses for my home that I rent. It might be because I'm not very familiar with H&R Block Premium, but I would hope that the software would make it very easy to find the expenses involved with my home, and it did not do that.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
