I bought this program thinking it would guide me through my various 1099B brokerage statements. It did NOT. It did not properly guide me to the Form 8949 when it should have especially when faced with transactions whose cost basis was not reported to the IRS. The questionnaire should have covered this topic. It is a rather simple question on each transaction. After I completed the software's Form 8949 to the best of my ability yet I saw changes in the amount I owe vary from 0-$300. This entire process left me with a feeling that I may have paid in to the Government more than I should have. After tax season I may go a HR block office to have them file an amended return because I am so uncertain of the results of this software. I thought I may need to file an extension. Once I selected this option I could not get out of a software loop until I re-went through the entire interview process. This only takes a few minutes but it took me an hour to try to stop the software from printing an extension.
