Have used this software for about 10 years. It has become way too difficult to fix errors that come up in the section that tells you to fix before filing. Had to redo my return from the start 3 times.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have used this software for years and never had any issues. This year however I was not crazy about the AI attached to it. I would have given 5 stars as I have in the past if not for the AI which caused more research needing to be done outside of the program than in the past.

Falls short on importing data and complex returns

The software does a basic tax return fine, but it is inadequate for more complex requirements such as handling K-1s. On many issues, the software just instructs the user to consult the IRS documentation and figure it out. I also was unable to import data from my brokerage accounts, so I had to input all that information manually. The software is helpful but I would like to see more functionality.
Cons: Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Pretty good. Relatively easy to use. However, I was disappointed that the IRS rejected electronic filing of my return and the program was unable to identify what was wrong other than it might have been a technical error in the personal information. I believe it should have been able to identify the error.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Virginia prefers electronic transmission. I think you should make this available without additional cost by requiring Virginia pay part of all of the cost. Otherwise, it is easier and a lot less cost for me to print several pages and mail it just mail it in. You could work this out and get the jump on Turbotax and all of the other tax program companies.and competition.
