I have used HR Block for years and have been satisfied with performance. This year for the first time the explanation for one item on state return was incomplete and online chat was not helpful. I was able to find answer on the state form.
Pros: Easy to import documents

for the basics, it works well. But there are far too many areas where it falls short on the interview and guidance for more complicated taxes. K1 forms are a pain. It starts in an interview and dumps you into a form without much guidance and the K1s themselves don't really have details. Leaves me wondering if I've really done things correctly which is never how you want to be feeling about taxes.

The software was not able to import 1099-R. I have 8 forms. It import 1099B every time when it's supposed to import 1099R. I have to manually enter them.

I’ve always used this product, ever since TaxCut but was younger then and in DOS. But now a days my vision is not as good as it was. The program doesn’t adapt to people with poor vision. Other than that this is a great product bb
