I have used HRB FOR OVER 10 years and I depend on it to complete my return accurately and honestly.
Since this is only place I can add comments freely I came back to edit.
I’ve used software previously that directly linked me to the IRS directions for the line number that I’m working on. HRB makes the directions available but I still have to search through entire documents and references to try to figure out what actually applies. HRB has to have this information to be able to substantiate the software. Why not make it available?

No workable solution for a deceased inheritance on a roth account with a name difference as the field is limited and support had no work around and could not file electronically. Seems like a simple area to solve and unsure how this hasn't been a prior issue as should have a decent sized field for how an account is labeled

Accuracy review came back with no issues. When I tried to e-file issues were reported and I had to scramble to get return in before midnight. Software should ask if I plan to e-file, then do accuracy review.

I have been using H & R Block software for years, with very minimal issues. The issues that I have had have been with the software accepting and annotating information on the tax forms correctly for the K-1 reports and the Qualified Business Income Deduction. Which has required me to pay more taxes that I should have.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

Would be great if I were a Farmer

I bought the Premier version to handle business taxes, but it did not handle them well. The questions were not clear for my situation. There should have been explicit questions about R&E expenses this year since it was a change with BBB. If I had to depreciate the R&E expenses, I would not have known how to enter it in the software. I know because I tried. I had to have a CPA look at my taxes this year, which is not the point of using a program like this. Farmers rejoice...there were plenty of questions about farm equipment.
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Dad uses this software for himself, me and my sister who he helps with taxes. It's very easy to automatically bring in investment information. Many of the questions are about things that don't apply to me or my sister, but the software makes it easier than going through the specific forms trying to figure out what I need to include vs. what I don't need to include.
