I’ve used TurboTax for years & was forced to use a new system because they do not use Wins 10. I felt like the placement of items fleas all over the place. I opted for the Home &?Self-Employed version. I wish that all Home was kept in Home & all Business was kept in Business. It was hard to find things when needed to change things. Not sure I would use it again.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

thorough interview of tax questions to cover the bases. My one difficulty was that at the end there were several items flagged. I gave my attention to each and all were as accurate as I could make them. However, after I reviewed them, the flags remained and the program continued to take me back to them.

I used tipi program for 15 years and find it typically user friendly. This year I could not import the 1099 documents from Merrill. I ended up typing them all in.

I can give the overall performance as 5 stars but there is one feature that gets only one star. I use Form 7206 for self-employed health deduction. I bought the Deluxe version because it was advertised as including this form. It was there, however it was not linked to the 1040 and therefore I could not e-file. I did find that upgrading to the next level solved the problem. However, you should not advertise that you can handle a form that does not work. This has been a problem for 3 years now, and Ii am sure you are aware of it. No reason not to fix it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The software is acceptable. The user interface is really not even remotely as good as TurboTax which is what we moved from. The software did not identify an error with the home energy credit section and the IRS rejected the tax submission within minutes of being submitted.
