Been using H&R Block for a few years and it's been great. It's easy to import data from other financial institutions. We got Premium version because we also have rental income.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

New to HRBlock from Turbo Tax

I bought this software because TurboTax made the horrendous mistake of not providing a Windows 10 version of their product for TY 2025. I had been using TTax for years. I would say their interface is more user friendly, but I think your software is more professional.
Pros: Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

no support for Chase and Bank of America for 1099

Had to finish my taxes filling in the 1099s for JP Morgan and Bank of America manually since the SW generated an error during the import process. These are the two largest banks in the country. I hope they are supported for next year. No issue with Fidelity and Schwab.

Terrible. I was to have state and federal and the program change me to file the state even though It was to be included.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to import documents

Not this year 😞 instead I got an AI Assistant, typed in my question and no matter how I requested information I received a comment stating there is no information related to your question. I have used this software for the last 6 years or so. Last year I started my own business and needed the Premium for the first time. Worked flawlessly and helped get me a bigger refund. Also, the extra licenses were useful as I had to file 3 returns for 2025.

Unfortunately, you can't use the iterative method?

I have been using HRBlock for over 15 years, this year I can't efile because of this message from the software “Unfortunately you won’t be able to efile your return. the calculation for the premium tax credit (form 89962, line 24) and the self employed insurance deduction form (schedule 1, line 17) use the iterative method. This method helps to balance the premium tax credit and the self employed health insurance deduction to ensure both are accurately reflected in the tax return”. My situation hasn't changed, I'm self employed and fill out each year HRBlock's sofware exactly the same. "Unfortunately, I won't be able to use HRBlock Next Year". that's my message to HRBlock.

I've been using H&R Block tax software for years. While it's still good I was disappointed this year in that it couldn't figure out how to apply my Self Employed Health Insurance deduction. When I got to the end to eFile it said I had to print it out on paper and mail it in, ugh and yuck
