Very poor quality control this year

Your last two Federal updates have change my refund amount each time... Worst software quality control I have witnessed since using H&R Block software (since at least 2018... oldest year still on this computer).

Scary to use due to slow updates

I have mostly simple taxes. However it took until a 3-April update before your crapware would calculate QBI for a small brewery I am a passive partner with. S-Corp.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

Problem importing detailed brokerage 1099s

Disappointing

The software would not allow me to file Colorado State Tax Return, claimed one state return included.
This is the 'PREMIUM' version 'built for complex taxes' was the selling point, the third package in the four-tier software offering, however, several gray areas/you are on your own... on K-Statement entries.
Cons: Hard to prepare

I have used this software for years and this year was the worst!! I had to wait for weeks to file because of the software not issuing an update for K-1. I will probably switch software next year.

Good but some confusion

Overall it is a good product. Have some knowledge of the tax laws so it was not as bad. My biggest complaint was the not so clear RMD section of filling it out. Why couldn’t it be instructed for amounts needed to be taken for qualified plans for plan year 202x. Amounts actually taken for qualified plan year 202x. Similarly, for nonqualified plans. The HR block language is confusing.
Pros: Easy to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

Frustrating, but I'd use this over Turbo Tax

I bought Premium twice because I didn't understand each version's capabilities. I have 2 partnerships and my personal taxes. I originally purchased Premium because it said it would handle K-1's. I didn't realize at the time that I needed the Business version to actually create the K-1's. The Business version is not as refined and the interview process lacks detail. The premium version guided me through doing my personal taxes including my own business (Schedule C) but I couldn't file electronically until the software updated on April 3, and that update was related to K-1's. So confusing. I purchased Premium by itself, and then when I had to purchase Business, it also came with Premium. Next year, I'll just purchse Business with Premium.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!
