Hi, been a user for almost 2 decades but may not be much longer. On the Federal side the half hearted K1 coverage is a cop out. As is the program lacking the ability to allow more than one form open simultaneously. And I look every year but there is still no informative tax calculation with details of the cap gains, ordinary income, additional taxes type of information that bridges the gap from taxable income to tax amount. I started to use the state tax for Hawai’i but quit when I could not find a way to get the correct adjustments to show for income exclusions related to pensions and RO Ira’s. The definition for Hawai’i of what can be excluded from income do not relate to anything the program uses to identify these incomes. It was far easier to just work up a simple s/s and fill in a form in pdf than to try to “trick” your program into showing correct numbers. I’m not being disingenuous when I tell the best solution for next year’s edition is to let the user override all of the related income fields. It’s what I have to do on a scratch pad excel sheet anyway.
Loyalty and familiarity aren’t going to keep me coming back if the product continues to be only the previous year with the least possible updating. Good luck.

Things ran well but home office initially indicated one deduction amount and then later when reviewing the Refund amount changed significantly. Also reran investment import twice and refund amount drastically reduced. Had to restart with original file before update. A few sections lacked sufficient explanation to determine proper answer. Cost for state program excessive.

Very disappointed after using Tax Cut for over 10 years. Could not import 1099’s. Technical problems. Support very poor. I’m moving to Turbo Tax.
