I have been using H&R Block software for several years (5+) after religiously using Intuits version, and previous to that Parsons Technology Personal Tax Edge (which became the Intuit Product later on.
Of all them I like the ease of use of H&R Block, the audit free worry, how quick my returns get accepted by the tax authority, and how easy finding top deductions are. Highly Reccomended. Even newbies to doing your own taxes have nothing to worry about.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast

Using for several years and I generally like it. I wish they would import more info from previous years and allow me to enter the data as I want and not according to their menu.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Time consuming

Sticking with H&R Block is the best way to get all the benefits from buying the program. You are able to import all of the previous years information which not only simplifies the process but acts as a checklist for assuring you have a complete return. The final review is also very important and a great capability. You can't e-file until all of the issues are corrected. My issues related to needed information about our Health Insurance not financial.

I tried both the online and desktop apps and found it incredible that they are so different, where as I would expect them to be fairly close. Specifically the navigation is different, the questions are being asked in different order for the same product.
I do love the feature of importing W2 and 1099 forms from PDF files.

Poor and unintuitive interface. Certain questions can no longer be accessed if the user navigates away from the question, e.g. filling in user drivers’ license ID information. Audit notes do not link directly to section required to fix the error.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
