During Tax Filing, I found Premium version has one bug which impacts tax credits, and I reported to online support, howver I have not seen any update of the problem before I submit the filing to IRS. The real bug is 1116 Form(AMT), line 18 can't get the final number into the form from the line 18's mini-sheet calculations.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast

Again, I cannot update the program from within the program. This has been a recurring issue for the last 3 years. There is a work around, but it's awkward. And, when I finished and tried to file, the IRS rejected my filing because of a software issue with Form 1116, which is a very common form. Now I must wait while HR Block tries to correct its software. This year has not been a good experience.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have used H&R Block for the last several years. This year, however, there was a major flaw in that the software did not recognize and/or calculate the basis for the RMD. Consequently it did not generate form 8606 either. A few days later upon opening the software all of a sudden my taxes changed drastically and the form and calculation were included. No explanation and there had not been an interim update.
Cons: Time consuming

I bought the premium version because we own mutual funds. Being able to import the information and have it in the correct places is invaluable. Without that feature, I would have be paying an accountant as I would have had no idea how to do that part.

I've used this product for 30 years!! This year is the worst!! Fed won't except the return, they said AGI or PIN don't match last year!! Submitted 3 times!! Gave up!! Not happy!!!
