The State return has been a problem for the second year. I really do not want to print, sign, and mail both the Federal and State returns. The Federal return was accepted. The State return was rejected because they could not submit the Federal return. I had no idea that the State also receives the Federal to also submit. I followed the State's directions. I had to review the Federal one and resubmit. After, I resubmitted the State return. It looks like the State is going to reject because it is taking too long to be accepted.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Used it for 15 years. This year was the worst I’ve even seen. Questions that didn’t apply, audits I couldn’t clear, filing they failed & I had to pay a second time to actually get it to file. Next year I’m trying TurboTax.

I've been using for decades. I got nothing this year. I had to search to buy. Same thing every year for me. But HR tries to charge more than I need.

I’ve usually used H & R with Windows, but used a Mac this year. Several times the data entered in a space disappeared, caused me to have to proofread the return several times. Even when I finished, I wasn’t confident it was complete or incomplete. I believe H & R was programmed basically for Windows, and was modified to be used in Mac format.
