I have been using H&R Block software, to file both my Federal & State income taxes, for the past 5 years. They maintain year-to-year continuity by accurately importing and updating the data; this makes filing a new return quite easy to understand. The software also gives periodic updates as and when they are available/needed.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Easy to import, Fast

The on line credit card program would not work with my master card. I then tried the telephone to pay and it said it would not accept my master card. I ended up mailing the payment. The same credit card was accepted by the H & R Premium program to buy and additional state tax.
Secondly, the program repeatedly asked to change the screen setting. I changed it and some of the screen was off the edge, So I went back to the regular setting.
