HORRIBLE, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY, CUSTOMER SERVICE TOOK ME 3 DAYS OF WAITING AN AVERAGE OF 1.10 HOURS, NOBODY ANSWERED
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to fix issues

Really a life saver

The 2018 tax relief law really made things complicated. Saved on Taxes but many new wrinkles. Tax Cut (hopefully) worked it out and made things more workable but still had a steep learning curve. Without it would have been significantly more difficult to navigate. Did 2 businesses plus personal. Have used TaxCut for over 10 years. Also can get support from HR Block local offices, unlike the other SW. Comment about ease of use is b/c nothing about IRS is easy to use.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import documents, Fast
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too many issues

On some forms the check at the end stated the box had to be left blank. On the IRS instructions it has to be filled. There were forms with nothing on them and I could not delete. I have used tax software - primarily this brand for over 20 years. There have been issues in the past, but this year the program seems to argue with itself too much. Wish I had gone with the other guys. I cannot even efile unless I wanted to make false statements. First time in a very long time I have had to paper file.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to fix issues, Hard to prepare

purchased premium software for self-employed/rental prop owners. program did not include form 4136 for fuel tax credit, worth several hundred dollars to me

tried to set up "My Block" account

Tried to set up "My Block" account but it refused to "recognize" my User Name/pass word. But it would not say why.
I've always been leery of putting my info into the cloud but my son said to do it. I was going to try to save my return this year but your program would not accept me.

Disappointed with lack of TRA additions

I have been using HR Block Premium for several years for my self-employed business. I would have liked to have more certainty with my year-end tax planning with up-to-date software that includes the qualified income deduction for self-employed/pass-through entities.The software makes no attempt to incorporate this aspect of the Tax Relief Act. There is no need to wait for IRS return forms to provide for this deduction in the software.

i have used the software to do my taxes for 5 years. no problems. this year its a mess. i can't talk to a live person despite what it says on one. it says i don't have an account, don't have the right phone number and won't answer my questions. it won't work on chat! i completed my federal and it says i need to update my forms from the IRS but won't do it!
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Easy to import, Fast

Ist I had to wait for some Federal updates, then after I discovered I made an error and require a 1040X, another waiting period to file a corrected return and no clue what to do with sate requiring a copy, give them bad or amended that wasn't filed yet, A total mess...
