I have been using turbotax to file my return for many years. Now the price has gotten too high that I decided to switch to use a similar product that does not charge as much.
Cons: Time consuming, Doesn't maximize refund, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents

I have purchased H&R Block software for many years, but this year the program became corrupted somehow and was unable to perform updates, which meant it wouldn't allow me to use it for the State portion. I called twice but no solution. There needs to be an override of updates in order to continue or some other way to build the software so this is not an issue.

Have been using Premium edition for 4 years, disappointed in its inability to import PDF 1099 forms. This year the software created some "data check" problems related to my mortgage interest and business use of home that I had to manually correct before the validation checker would let me through, it makes me doubt the accuracy of my file this year.
Cons: Hard to import documents
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
