I got patient and wonderful assistance when I called the number to report problems, but I was unable to e file in spite of solving those problems. I rather feel it is the IRS... perhaps enough people have been laid off so as not to be able to handle software glitches. In any case, the "problems" with my filing were not accurate. numbers matched that IRS claimed did not match what they had received from payer. this has been the most frustrating year trying to file taxes. and the actual software was harder to use than ever before.

Confusing, UNPROFESSIONAL, DID NOT GET FREE FILING

Unlike 2023, the 2024 software is needlessly confusing and lacks consistent logical order of questions.
I am a financial professional and was confused to the point of having ten issues to deal with after the pre-file review. One I never did figure out what was supposedly wrong. One was RMD's. The question about how much I had to take was in one section. The question of how much I took was in another section with Inherited IRA's and was not clear as to what "other" distributions I took for 2024.

I HAVE NO IDEA AT WHAT POINT YOU CONSIDERED A FILING MADE, BUT AFTER MULTIPLE EFFORTS TO CLEAR THE REVIEW QUESTIONS, YOU TOLD ME MY FREE FILINGS WERE USED UP, EVEN THOUGH I HAD NOT YET FILED THIS RETURN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I DON'T THINK YOU CAN COUNT ON ME AS A USER NEXT YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
