Thorough and accurate tax calculation. Import data from prior year needlessly lacking creating more user input. But overall very good. Will use again next year. Hope they upgrade or fix data import.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

Very practical and easy to use for most tax issues

Pros: Really easy to use for most cases. Straightforward, step-by-step process to file taxes. Imports previous year taxes and 1099s from most major providers without having to type numbers in.
Cons: Really should have better handling to figure out whether filing separately or together would be better. The check page is just an estimate. You pretty much have to do both kinds of returns. And you can't have two instances of the program open at once, so copying info from one to the other is a pain. Also, if you just got married, merging carried items, like capital loss carryover is a pain.

This 2024 software was very helpful for preparing our personal federal return. Since i have used H&R Block tax software for at about10 years, I am familiar with navigating through it. I also open up the prior year version as well to re-familiarize myself with past entries.
