I have used the product for many years and am satisfied with it. This year my return was not accepted several times until I found out on the web how to find my correct IP ID. The software was no help in educating me about this and the web was giving me conflicting advice. I finally found the correct advice to log onto my IRS account to find the IP ID but still had to click random links on the site to locate the number. An unpleasant and stressful experience.

I wasted a lot of time because of your software error. The top of the screen states to use Dec. 31, 2024.
According to an IRS agent, this is not correct.
For 2024 taxes, the calculation for the minimum required IRA distribution is based on the end of 2023.
This can make a huge difference in the amount of taxes owed.

I used Turbo tax for the past 7 years. Their system uploaded all info from all of me W2s, and stock forms. H&R block software did not upload the info and I had to manually enter it on several forms.
It was difficult to tell which forms I needed to print and mail.
If I had to switch from passive to active business input on a 1099, I was not able to without having to print the forms and mail them. I could not electronically submit.

I have been using TurboTax for years. I decided to try HR Block software only because TurboTax does not support my Catalina Os Mac software. Your program does and is as good as Intuits program. Note: keep your software backward compatible or you will lose me as well. I don’t want to buy a new Apple Mac every few years just to be able to use desktop tax software and, due to privacy concerns, cloud based tax software is not desirable.
