I purchased this software online on 3-23-25 to do my 2024 taxes. I’m a senior and cashed in my stock last year as I needed the $ as my hubby passed away in 2023. It wasn’t a lot of $ but I had no idea if I was going to have to pay taxes on it so I purchased the software since I didn’t qualify to do the H&R Block FREE online taxes this year & also didn’t want to make any mistakes doing my taxes myself. It was a great purchase.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast

I've used the H&R Block software to do our taxes for nearly 20 years, and it continues to take care of our filing needs, for both federal and state returns. Our returns aren't super-complicated, but we do have rental income in addition to most of the usual sources, and the interface is simple and intuitive. For years we used various tax preparers--one year, the "professional" made a fundamental error that required filing a revised return. At that point, we switched to doing it ourselves with the Block software, and have never looked back.

Good software but needs work on HSA interviews

Good reliable and accurate. I’ve used Block software for 10 years. Most interviews are intuitive. However interviews such as HSA contributions for people over 55 and older are poorly written and require one to review the results to the tax form to be assured of the correct input to the interview,

Only problem I had is I didn’t realize I needed to download software immediately. I thought I could download anytime once I’d purchased it but CSR were very helpful in resending it to me. I’d used it last year and all of my previous stuff was there. I didn’t need to put it back in. Sweet!!!
