I have used your software program (Premium) for a number of years and have been generally happy with it. However, this time around I encountered difficulties importing broker information and even your "live" help could not resolve the issue. Another thing I encountered was that based on last year's input, your current program failed to remind me of "missing" input, i. e. Long Term Care insurance.

Unable to connect/link my E*Trade account. Unacceptable as it is a major pain if it wasn’t for the grouping of my sales of stocks/ETFs.

It would be nice if the software can handle 1099k and 1099nec double income, so that only count the income once. Many Freelancers has this double count issue.

Overall good tax program but there are some challenges to some of the special deductions. H&R program fail to recognize contribution to 401k and 457 together. It doesn’t even treat 457 as non-deductible addition to some of the states such as NJ. One has to know such tax quarks else they can easily make mistake.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund

I was very disappointed in the processing speed of the software. Specifically with the stock trade section. I had many of them, so I had to enter or verify each one. With each one, it took 30 seconds to a full minute to advance to the next screen. What should have taken a few hours took over 30 for me to complete. Additionally, the software would freeze and crash about every 30 minutes. After a crash, many times the file would be corrupt, and I would lose my work. I ended up saving multiple copies of the file every 30 minutes, but I would still lose work if I didn't do it quick enough. Also, the K-1 section left me guessing what information was needed in many cases. I had a similar experience the previous year.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
