Incorrect EIC calculation cost me time and $

Program did not ask enough questions and erroneously gave me an EIC credit which resulted in twice my filed state return being denied costing me $ I can't afford. After hours of pouring over the returns discovered error and then submitted 1040X with additional payment due and my state return both by USPS.

It is a bit discouraging when the release is put out but not ready to go at the time of release. I had glitches when loading the program which caused me to pay several times for filing. In most cases I was reimbursed for the false starts but is was annoying to get to the end and be charged for filing and then find out that there were updates to made to the program and even though I was charged for filing the forms were not submitted. I had to reload the program to clear the glitch that would not allow updates to be made. Even though I bought the deluxe version that included the free state form, I had to pay 2 more times to load my state form back into the program. I know I will be reimbursed but still it was a pain to go through the process. It would be better if the version was made accessible to people with vision problems. In the end all went through but It was aggravating reloading and redoing the forms. I would recommend this program but with caution and possibly a warning of what can happen when filing early before the program is ready to operate correctly.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!
